| Our History Glassworks was founded in 2002 by Gene (me) and Trish Jordan, after both of us had worked for several years in the auto glass industry for competing corporations. Once we realized that we no longer were satisfied with the way our companies did business, we decided that it was time for our chance at "The American Dream". So, with our entire savings and our 1 year old daughter Tori to help run things, we opened our own glass shop. In the beginning, things were scary and there were either slow days or long nights. Eventually though, people started to notice us and our business and workmanship ethics. As time went on, we soon found ourselves with the need for more vans, more employees and a new building. So, with the help of our second daughter Lizzie and our dog Boba, we have grown to our current state as the largest glass shop in our area. Looking back, we never dreamed that our success would be this rewarding or that we have made such great friends in our community. What does the future hold? We have plans to open other locations. So that others in our industry who are tired of the corporate style of doing business, may join us in doing business in a way that has given us our current success. Our Philosophy The motto above says it all. To be honest, I thought it up when we first opened, to be a catch phrase to put in our advertising. Over the years, however, we found ourselves truly living it and realized that we have done business that way from the start. I'll break down each of the three words and put them into practical words. First, we get glass to us fast (usually same day) and we get it to our customers faster. We know people have lives and are just as busy as we are. That's why we do everything we can to accommodate our customers schedule rather than our own. Yes, sometimes we waste time or gas going out of our way to fit a job in when we already had a great day planned. But efficiency is for our customers first and us second. Also, we have surely profited way more by the hundreds of referrals by happy customers who have told friends to use us because we will go out of our way, than any expenses we incur by doing so. Second, we use the latest tools, technology and techniques to install our glass. This allows for faster, safer and better installs that lower expenses so we can pass the savings to our customers. Please go to our quality page to learn more about our process compared to other companies. Third, we don't get stressed by having our lives in and out of work combined. This means call us. There have been several times we have gotten calls late at night by upset people who have just had their car vandalized or a tree limb go through their glass during a bad storm. They don't know what to do so they call us. We live close to our shop. So, we meet them, get the car inside our shop where it is safe and dry, order their glass online for next day delivery, then give them a ride home and tell them everything is OK. The next morning, we call their insurance to set up the claim (if needed) and start vacuuming the broken glass. When the new glass arrives we install it and give them a call to let them know its done. They are driving and back to normal by that afternoon! That's efficiency, quality and courtesy. And that's how we make our livelihood. You just can't get that level of performance from a large corporation. So, thank you for taking the time to read this.
